A Bonnie Update on May 30, 2021

Bonnie had her checkup at AUVC this week.  Her foot is healing nicely, but she is still required to wear her special shoe.  She is free of her pen and can roam with the other donkeys.  She is making strides against the white line disease.  It is too soon to tell if she is making strides against the Cushing's disease, but we are optimistic she will respond well to her meds.

We are very pleased with her progress, and she will return to AUVC for another appointment.  We have decided to keep the GoFundMe campaign running, since Bonnie requires ongoing treatments and visits to AUVC.

As always, thank you for your donations and well wishes! We are very grateful for your support.

A Bonnie Update 5-2-2021

Bonnie had her checkup last week at AUVC.  There was a new development, and that is Bonnie has White Line Disease, which was a bit of a surprise.  We provided a link for you to learn more about WLD.  The good news is this can be treated by keeping her foot dry, avoiding puddles/water, and time with a farrier.

Bonnie’s incision is healing, but she still needs to be in isolation for a couple more weeks.  Bonnie is continually being treated for the Cushing’s Disease and is still on pain medication.  Her next visit to AUVC will be near the end of May.

As always, thank you for your concern and support.
